Each year, on the last Wednesday of August, the humble city of Buñol is transformed into the site of Spain’s most famous food fight – La Tomatina. Over 150,000 tomatoes serve as “weapons” in Buñol, but at Spanish Diner, we prefer to use them in specialty tapas and cocktails – the perfect late summer indulgence. Join us as we celebrate this historic event and embrace the spirit of La Tomatina!

Starting the week of August 29, it's officially Tomatina time at Spanish Diner. Join us as we celebrate with our sister restaurants Jaleo DC, Chicago and Las Vegas to enjoy two weeks of special tapas, each featuring unique preparations of the season's best produce. From simple ensaladas with juicy summer tomatoes and specialty Spanish ingredients like salted cod or cana de carba cheese, to a sweet take on pan con tomate, with olive oil brioche ice cream and tomato marmalade, there's something to satisfy every summer craving.
